Retired, Georges St-Pierre will play villain in Marvel series

Former welterweight (up to 77kg) and middleweight (up to 73,9kg) champion was invited again by the North American producer to play the villain Batroc

Since retiring definitively from MMA in 2017, it is not uncommon to read or hear Georges St-Pierre's name being speculated about a possible return to the UFC. But, apparently,TheRush' should only be seen again in films or series. The Canadian confirmed in an interview with the website 'ComicBook' who was invited to act again and play a villain in a Marvel series.

Georges will play the antihero Batroc, in the series 'Falcão and the Winter Soldier', which will still be released in Brazil. St-Pierre already played the same villain in the film 'Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier'. It will be the former welterweight champion’s (under 77kg) first appearance in a television series.

“I'm a huge comic book fan and didn't expect to relive this role again. So I was really excited when they called me. I felt like a real superhero when I was in the octagon, and when it was all over I felt like a normal human being again”, concluded the Canadian.

Georges St-Pierre is 39 years old and is considered one of the biggest names in MMA history. The former welterweight (up to 77kg) and middleweight (up to 83,9kg) champion has 28 fights as a professional, with 26 wins and two losses. The Canadian hasn't fought since November 2017, when he won Michael Bisping via submission at UFC 217 and won his second UFC title.
