Bellator MMA will, for the first time in its history, have a division ranking. In an interview with the North American network, 'CBD Sports', the company's president, Scott Coker, admitted the evolution of the organization, after 13 years of existence. The plan is to introduce the idea on April 2nd.

“This is the best roster in Bellator history. As we continue to sign the best free agents in the sport and see the success of young prospects inside the cage, we felt the time was right to introduce official fighter rankings. We are always looking for ways to improve our product and this adds an exciting new aspect to the organization that will have a significant impact on the way fans watch the event,” said Coker.
The ranking will be divided by weight categories, both for men and women. Ten competitors will occupy each list with the champion being above number one. For a fighter to be eligible, they must have competed in Bellator at least once in the last 15 months.
The athlete who retires can still be voted for up to 60 days after the announcement. Voting will take place after each event by a committee made up of 20 specialized journalists.
The expectation is that implementation will take place by implementing the promotion of Bellator 255. The event, confirmed for April, will feature Patrick Pitbull e Emmanuel sanchez, which repeat a confrontation held in 2018.
