The Ultimate organization announced, this Tuesday (22), the fight between Canadian Antonio Carvalho and North American Darren Elkins for UFC 158. During the announcement, the news, until then unofficial, was also confirmed that Mitch Gagnon will face Issei Tamura at the same event.
The new names give more diversity to the March 16th card, full of clashes valid in the welterweight division. The fight between Carvalho and Elkins will be in the featherweight category, while Mitch Gagnon's fight against Issei Tamura will be held in the bantamweight category.
Now, with the addition of Carvalho and Gagnon, there are eight Canadians scheduled to fight at UFC 158, which will be held in Montreal. The others are: Georges St Pierre, which will put the welterweight belt on the line against Nick Diaz, Rory McDonald, Nick Ring, Patrick Côtè, John makdessi and Sean Pierson. So far, the night's card already has eleven fights scheduled. Check out the fights already announced for UFC 158 below:
