STRONG IMAGE: Johnny Walker undergoes surgery and publicizes the procedure; athlete recovers well

The Brazilian was scheduled to face Jimmy Crute at UFC 260, but a pectoral muscle injury left him out of action

Out of action in UFC 260 after suffering an injury to the pectoral muscle, Johnny Walker underwent surgery to correct the problem. On his social networks, the light heavyweight contender (up to 93kg) released images of the procedure. The athlete had a fight scheduled against Jimmy crute in a show that takes place on March 26th, in Las Vegas (USA).

“Yesterday, (Saturday) I had my surgery. I tore my pectoral muscle off the bone in one of my workouts getting ready for UFC260. The surgery was a success. Now, it's time to recover. Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes. I’ll be back,” Walker posted on his Twitter account. Instagram.

On Monday afternoon (15), the fighter released images (see below) of part of the procedure carried out to correct the injury. Before, the athlete warned his followers about the content.

Seeking to stabilize himself in Ultimate, in March, Walker would try to achieve his second positive result in a row. The fighter went through a difficult time in the organization, recording two consecutive defeats. In his last performance, however, Johnny defeated the promising Ryan spann, In September.

In the UFC since 2018, Walker, 28, saw his popularity grow meteorically after three consecutive knockouts (in the first round) in his first commitments. Today, 9th in the light heavyweight rankings, the athlete has six fights with the company's gloves, four victories and two setbacks.
