Amid rumors of return, St-Pierre denies the possibility of facing Kamaru Usman

After the current welterweight champion revealed the possibility of the fight taking place, Canadian says there is no necessary motivation to come out of retirement at the moment

Considered one of the greatest MMA fighters in history, Georges St-Pierre denied any possibility of coming out of retirement to face Kamaru Usman. In an interview with the program 'Good Show with Ben Ennis & JD Bunkis', from the broadcaster 'SportsNet', the Canadian revealed that a fight against the Nigerian is not attractive enough to make him reflect on a possible return to the octagon.

“To come back and give three months of my life in a training camp to get a win over Kamaru Usman it doesn't motivate me. I don't think there is anything that motivates me to compete again now. I would have to leave my country and I don't want to do that. I'm healthy and rich. It's not attractive. As time passes, it is becoming less and less attractive. And I don't think there's anyone right now who would make me go back. But I’m good and I’ll always train and be in shape,” said St-Pierre.

In a press conference after the UFC 258, Kamaru Usman spoke about his desire to face Georges St-Pierre. According to him, the Canadian retired in good shape and it would be a great challenge to face him.

“Of course I would like (to fight) Georges St-Pierre. I don't want to face him because of money or anything like that, but I'm a competitor. I want Georges because he retired on a high and can still do it. I see him training. Georges, I’m watching you,” said Usman, in a post-event press conference.

Georges St-Pierre announced his retirement after winning Michael Bisping and win the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg.), at UFC 217. During his career, the Canadian won 26 triumphs and suffered two setbacks. Already Kamaru Usman He has a record of 18 wins and one loss in his career. He did, in UFC 258, the third successful defense of the belt.
