After losing his first fight as a professional in MMA, Rodolfo analyzed his performance and did not shy away from self-criticism. The carioca knows that he performed below expectations and, despite knowing about some mistakes, leaves questions to be resolved.
“Unfortunately, not everything goes the way we want. I'm here still not understanding why I got so tired in the first round. I made some mistakes, which I already know what they were. They will definitely be fixed, but, really, getting tired the way I did, I still haven't been able to understand. I did a great camp (training period). I had the best weight cut to date”, explained the athlete.
Even understanding that there were problems inside the octagon, the Brazilian showed sportsmanship and tried to praise Hernandez's performance. Before the clash against Vieira, the North American was 'hanging' in the organization, coming from two defeats in three appearances.
“I have to congratulate Anthony on the big win and I really hope he won the US$50 'Performance of the Night'”, he posted.
Finally, Rodolfo stated that he needs to improve. Considered a legend in jiu-jitsu, the fighter wants to continue evolving to get closer, in MMA, to the success achieved in the 'gentle art'.
“I know I need to improve a lot, in everything. I have never hidden this and, every day, I train in search of this evolution. Anyway, it passed,” she concluded.
Before the tragic encounter against Anthony, Vieira had gone unbeaten in seven appearances as a professional in mixed martial arts. For the UFC, the Brazilian had fought twice, winning both by submission.
