Experiencing an unprecedented moment in his career, with two consecutive defeats, Tony Ferguson surprised by provoking his last tormentors, Charles of the Bronx e Justin gaethje. On his social networks, showing a training session, 'Bicho Papão' stated that he was not defeated by his rivals and 'threatened' the athletes, proposing a rematch soon. Today, the former interim lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) is fifth in the rankings.

“I let you reach the elite. Fuck you Justin gaethje and Charles (Do Bronx) Oliveira. You haven't finalized anything. I told you I'll see you soon. (…) It is much easier to see the target when it is in front of you. New training, new moment,” wrote Ferguson, in his account on Twitter.
Contrary to what the American claims, Tony was beaten hard by Gaethje in the UFC 249, losing by technical knockout, and largely dominated by Charles, who defeated 'Bicho Papão' in a unanimous decision by the judges in December.
Upon learning of the text published by 'The cucuy', Gaethje tried to respond to his former rival's attack. Without wasting time, the former interim champion was direct in retorting to his compatriot.
“Charles couldn’t submit you, but I certainly could. Check the tapes, champ,” Gaethje wrote.
Considered one of the best lightweights in MMA history, Ferguson, even in a bad phase, remains among the elite of one of the UFC's most competitive categories. So far, the American has no confirmed opponent for his return to the Octagon.
Recently, 'Bicho Papão' challenged Nate Diaz to a confrontation, at lightweight, or welterweight (up to 77kg.). However, there was no response from the 'bad boy' or Ultimate.
