UFC bantamweight representative (up to 61,2 kg.), Merab Dvalishvili went through an unusual situation. When trying to record a video in which he jumps into a frozen lake, the athlete ended up injuring himself and suffering a cut on his head. The fighter released the images on his social network.

“I thought it was a great day to train and run in the park. I saw a lake and imagined it was just snow and frozen water. But in fact, it was an ice boulder with tree branches in the middle. As soon as the thin ice broke, I felt my skin tearing apart. But nothing was more painful than having the skin sutured. Now everything is fine, I feel great”, wrote the athlete, in a text translated by 'Combate'.
In the images (see below), it is possible to see that the fighter is surprised when he hits his head. After the incident, Dvalishvili went to the hospital and received stitches on his cut.
In Ultimate since 2017, Merab has seven fights for the organization, with five wins and two losses. In his last performance, in August 2020, the Georgian hit John Dodson in the unanimous decision of the judges.
