Phenomenon in the promotions of their clashes, Conor McGregor continues to suffer the consequences of his defeat to Dustin poirier No. UFC 257. The Irishman, who was negotiating a super fight against boxing star Manny Pacquiao, may not take part in the fight due to the tough setback that occurred last weekend. According to one of the boxer's representatives, Sean Gibbons, the legend of the 'noble art' is no longer of interest.

“Unfortunately, it appears that Conor looked past Dustin and ended up getting knocked out. Maybe he had the Senator (Pacquiao is a politician in the Philippines) in his head. I believe there is no demand for the fight at the moment,” said Gibbons, in an interview with 'Sunport'.
Although he believes that this is not the time to take the superfight forward, Sean admits that the confrontation is not completely ruled out. For Manny's representative, however, McGregor must recover from the tough defeat he suffered and regain the status he previously achieved.
“Conor has some business to resolve within the UFC. It's boring. It would have been cool while it lasted,” he concluded.
Considered one of the biggest names in boxing history, Pacquiao was world champion in eight different weight categories. At 42 years old, the Filipino has 70 appearances as a professional in the 'noble art'. Throughout his career in the sport, the fighter won 61 triumphs, suffered seven setbacks and had two draws. His last fight took place in 2019, when he beat Keith Thurman for the (WBA) welterweight belt.
Considered one of the greatest phenomena in the history of MMA, McGregor ventured into professional boxing only once, in 2017. With his popularity, the athlete managed to bring the legendary Floyd Mayweather out of retirement and, together with the boxer, starred in a historic event, with a record of audience. In the duel, the Irishman ended up defeated by knockout. Since then, the 'Notório' has been rehearsing a return to the 'noble art', but nothing official.
