Elite heavyweight athlete (up to 120,2kg) of Ultimate, Jairzinho Rozenstruik cannot hide his excitement for the premiere of Jon Jones in the category. "It would be amazing. I mean, he's the best of all time. Everyone wants to face the best and see where you are in your career”, said Jairzinho, in an interview with ‘MMA Junkie'.
For Rozenstruik, competing against a name like Jones is a source of pride. However, the Surinamese's intention is not just to compete, but rather to beat one of the great references in the history of the sport.
“If you get this fight, you would be even more motivated and work even harder for what’s to come. Jon Jones He's one of the best, but that doesn't mean you want to lose to him. You want to beat the best. To be the best, you have to defeat the best”, he concluded.
Although there is no hiding the excitement for the premiere of 'Bones', there is still no prediction as to when Jon's debut will be. A few months ago, UFC president Dana White admitted that Jones should debut with a title shot. Therefore, the North American will have to wait for the outcome of the confrontation between the champion Stipe Miocic e Francis Ngannou, which exchange forces in the UFC 260, on March 27.
While waiting for Jones, Rozenstruik is in no rush. Coming from victory over junior gypsy, the athlete has a fight scheduled against the promising and undefeated Cyryl Gane, for March 13th.
