Georges St-Pierre spoke again about his desire to face Khabib Nurmagomedov in a superfight in the future. The former welterweight (up to 77kg) and middleweight (up to 83,9kg) champion analyzed what he could do in the duel against the Russian and is considering a return to the Octagon.

“If in a hypothetical world this fight were to happen, I think I would need to use all my tools. I'm good at what I do and just because I'm fighting Khabib (Nurmagomedov) doesn't mean I'm going to change the way I fight. It's the way I fight that I've been successful my entire career. I think the mistake a lot of guys make when fighting Khabib is changing the way they fight, since he's known for probably being the best fighter in history. Just because I'm fighting Khabib doesn't mean I'm not going to tangle (on the ground) with him. If I get the chance to take him down, I'll try to take him down. I believe in my chance to take him down and I'm confident in myself”, said GSP, in an interview with the podcast 'Believe you me', by the former middleweight champion and former opponent, Michael Bisping.
St-Pierre also spoke about the importance of confidence for an MMA fighter and admitted that it would take 'something special' to bring him back to the Octagon.
“If the UFC wanted me back, I'm not the one who would try to beg for a fight. It would be the stupidest thing I could do. If they have an offer I can't refuse, Dana knows where to find me”, concluded the Canadian.
Considered by many as the best fighter in history, Georges St-Pierre has a record of 26 wins and two losses in his career. The Canadian has not performed professionally in MMA since his victory over Michael Bispingin November 2017.
