The last event in Strikeforce's history also marked the farewell of a fighter. American Mike Kyle, 32, hung up his gloves after being submitted by Gegard Mousasi on the main card of the event held last Saturday (12), in the city of Oklahoma, in the United States. Kyle, who fought in the heavyweight and light heavyweight categories, retires with a record of 19 wins, nine losses, one draw and two fights ending in No Contest (no result). In his career, the North American faced four Brazilians, all in Strikeforce events: He defeated Rogério Pezão and Rafael Feijão, but was completed by Fabricio Werdum and knocked out Antonio Pezão. In addition to an unsuccessful fight, when he was defeated in the rematch against Feijão, but as the Tupiniquim athlete was caught in an anti-doping test, the result of the duel was changed to “No Contest”.
