Protagonists of UFC 257, Conor McGregor e Dustin poirier are ready for the long-awaited rematch, which takes place this Saturday (23), in Abu Dhabi. Before exchanging forces, the fighters were informed that they will receive the personalized jacket given to athletes who reach the mark of 50 anti-doping tests without failure. Recognition is done by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency). The information was released by UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance, Jeff Novitzky.

“Another small but significant story for tomorrow night's fight. So much Conor McGregor as Dustin poirier achieved 50 perfect test stories (at USADA). There are 50 tests without prior notice. You never know when they are coming. You can't achieve this unless you're clean,” wrote Jeff, on his account on 'Twitter'.
Considered two of the main lightweight representatives (up to 70,3kg) of all time, the feat says a lot about the type of competitors who will be in evidence in the octagon this weekend. With a successful history in MMA, both Poirier and McGregor have their names immortalized in the category.
While Conor boasts a linear title on his resume (won in 2016), Dustin is the former interim champion of the division. The North American had the opportunity to unify the belt, but ended up hitting the post in the confrontation against Khabib NurmagomedovIn 2019.
Today, none of the athletes holds the division belt, which remains with Khabib, who recently retired. The clash between the two, however, should qualify the winner to challenge the Russian, who will decide whether to rethink the decision, or definitively give up his position.
The fight between Dustin and McGregor represents the repeat of a duel that took place in 2014. On that occasion, the 'Notório' won by knockout in the first round, when they were still playing at featherweight (up to 65,7kg).
Another small, but significant, story for tomorrow night's fight. Both @TheNotoriousMMA and @DustinPoirier reached 50 perfect test history this month. That's 50 unannounced tests…never know when they are coming. Can't do that unless you are clean. pic.twitter.com/1SHJPpZs4f
