Júnior Cigano, UFC heavyweight:

“I think it's going to be a struggle. Both guys are excellent fighters. (Conor) McGregor is a show apart, everyone knows that. I see a tough fight, a forceful exchange of punches. But I also see them both trying grappling, knees and everything else. McGregor has a lot of grip and (has) naturally knockout power in his hands. He is it! And that was precisely what surprised Poirier in the first fight. (…), I think Poirier is preparing well, he is more aware of McGregor's abilities and I think this time he wins. (…) I think he beats Poirier by points”, analyzed Cigano.

Antônio Cara de Sapato, UFC middleweight:

“I hope to be watching Poirier win from the gym. He's my partner at the gym (ATT), we have the same head coach – Mike Brown – so we sometimes do some training together. He's a cool guy, I like him a lot. I think that in the beginning McGregor has a great chance of knocking out, he has already shown that he has knockout power, but he showed that during the fight, he slows down a little (his pace) due to his style of play. He plays a lot from distance and delivers a lot of strong shots. Poirier has more volume, he likes to play at short range. (…), I hope they put up a great fight and that in the end Dustin comes out with the victory and we will be there together cheering. God willing, I will have already won (the fight against Brad Tavares) so we can celebrate together later,” he said. Shoe Face.

John Allan, UFC light heavyweight:

“I'm sure it will be a great fight. Poirier is a very aggressive guy, who puts in a good volume of strikes and will always look for the fight. McGregor is also an aggressive guy, more counterpunching and precise. For the fight, I'm betting on McGregor and I think there could be a knockout in the first or second round. I think his strike time and distance may speak louder than Poirier's aggressiveness. But I'm sure it will be a great fight and we will be watching and cheering at the end of the week,” he said. John allan.

Renato Moicano, UFC lightweight:

“I believe it is a very difficult fight for both of them, I think that in the last confrontation Dustin was a different athlete, but he has improved a lot in all areas. In the first round, McGregor's chances are very high. But as the rounds go by, the game turns for Dustin. So my guess is that Dustin will get a submission or a TKO  (knockout) around the fourth or fifth round”, explained the lightweight.
