Toquinho is caught in anti-doping testing and receives a nine-month suspension

stumpThe Brazilian Rousimar Toquinho was caught in anti-doping after his defeat to Hector Lombard of UFC on FX 6, an event held on December 14, in Australia. The Minas Gerais athlete's exam, whose results were released in the early hours of this Friday (11), showed a testosterone level above normal. With that, he received a nine-month hang-up.

In addition to Rousimar, another athlete also failed the test carried out after UFC on FX 6: Joey Beltran tested positive for the use of nandrolone. As he had beaten Igor Pokrajac in the unanimous decision of the judges, the result should be reversed to No Contest (no result) in the next few days.

“Both athletes have agreed to receive a nine-month suspension from December 14th. They must undergo an anti-doping test after the suspension is completed, before receiving authorization to return to compete”, says the statement issued by the organization regarding the doping of Toquinho and Beltran.
