The wait is over. The long-awaited meeting between Stipe Miocic e Francis Ngannou There is already a date for it to happen. In a press conference held after last Saturday's event (16), which opened the 2021 Ultimate season, Dana White confirmed that the clash for the heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg.) will take place at UFC 260, confirmed for March 27th, with no defined location. This will be the second clash between the athletes.

Considered one of the most feared men in MMA, Ngannou has been waiting for more than a year for the opportunity to have his rematch against Miocic, who defeated the French-Cameroonian on points in 2018. Current number one in the rankings, Francis regained his place as challenger after running over four rivals in a row, including the former group champion, junior gypsyIn 2019.
While Ngannou continued collecting victims in the octagon, Miocic, in recent years, was dedicated to ending the trilogy against Daniel Cormier, started in 2018. Since then, the North American has only faced DC, winning two and losing only in the first meeting, when he ended up dethroned.
In addition to the possibility of a great spectacle, the meeting between Miocic and Francis has great value for the organization. The winner of the clash will probably be responsible for welcoming the Jon Jones to the division, giving the legend the opportunity to win his second title with the company.
Ngannou has not performed since May, when he ran over the promising Jairzinho Rozenstruik No. UFC 249, achieving his fourth knockout in a row. Miocic fought in August, when he beat and retired Cormier, in UFC 252.
