The long awaited return of Santiago Ponzinibbio It ended up not going as the Argentine expected. In the fight against li jingliang, carried out in UFC Fight Island 7, in Abu Dhabi, the Argentine didn't have time to put his strategy into practice and was surprised with a knockout in the first round. The welterweight has not played since 2018.

The fight

In one of the most anticipated fights of the night, the veterans Carlos Condit and Matt Brown did not disappoint and promoted a show marked by technique. After three rounds, the former interim welterweight champion (up to 77kg) overcame his rival in a unanimous decision by the judges.
After going through a turbulent period in his career, when he suffered eight defeats in 10 fights, Condit returned to the sport last year after almost two years of hiatus. On that occasion, Carlos surpassed Court mcgee and now has two positive results in a row, something that hasn't happened since 2012.
Reaching the mark of 40 (22-18) professional appearances in MMA, Matt ended up confirming his bad phase. In the last 10 commitments, the athlete has seven setbacks.
'Knockout Man' proves his own poison

After becoming famous worldwide by achieving a historic knockout over Impa Kasanganay in 2020, Joaquin buckley met the other side of the coin. In the confrontation against Alessio di chirico, the North American ended up being unable to impose his game and was brutalized in less than two minutes.
The match marked Joaquin's fifth appearance in less than a year. The athlete now has two triumphs and two setbacks with the Ultimate gloves.

In the fight that opened the main card, Punahele Soriano e Dusko Todorovic they had a clash between the undefeated in Abu Dhabi. Representatives of the middleweight division, Soriano got the upper hand and brutalized his rival with a knockout in the first round.
Revealed by 'Dana White's Contender Series', Punahele reached his second positive result in the UFC and still doesn't know what it's like to lose in eight appearances. His debut in the organization took place in December 2019, when he beat Oskar Piechota.
In his second commitment to the UFC, Dusko showed strength, but was unable to withstand the pressure exerted by his opponent. The athlete suffered his first setback in 11 MMA fights.
