The 'soap opera' between eternal rivals, Vitor belfort e Wanderlei Silva it seems to have no end. After starting a series of provocations and rehearsing a historic rematch awaited for years, the 'Phenomenon' once again demanded the 'Crazy Dog' for the contract for a new confrontation. The athletes faced each other in 1998, with a lightning victory for the Rio native.

“It just won’t happen if Wanderlei just stays in the conversation. He has to sign the contract, stop talking and sign it. And stop smoking weed on Instagram and leave that aside”, said Vitor, in an interview with 'ESPN'.

Great representatives of the 'old guard' of MMA and directly responsible for the dissemination of the sport around the world, Belfort and Wand were marked by the aggressiveness with which they conducted their clashes. Remembering the great moments, Vitor provoked his rival, suggesting, again, that Silva is 'running'.

“In combat sports, you can talk all you want, but you have to get there on the day and fight. He has to decide which God he wants to follow. It’s not enough to talk, you have to do it”, he concluded.

Professional in MMA since 1996, Belfort became a global reference and gained prominence with UFC gloves. The Rio native hung up his gloves in May 2018, after losing to Lyoto Machida. Months later, however, the 'Phenomenon' agreed with ONE FC, but still hopes to debut for the company. The athlete has 26 victories in 41 commitments.

PRIDE legend and great idol in Japan, Wanderlei was considered one of the most feared men in the world in the early 2000s. With 51 appearances in mixed martial arts (35 victories), the 'Mad Dog' performed for the last time in September 2018 and ended up losing to one of his biggest career opponents, Quinton Rampage Jackson.
