Outside the UFC, Anthony Pettis acts quickly and signs a contract with the PFL

After holding – and winning – the last fight of his contract with Ultimate last Saturday (19), Anthony Pettis I didn't want to wait and I already have a new home. Former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), the American signed with the PFL (Professional Fighters League) and will wear the company's gloves next season. The information was confirmed by the athlete on his social networks.

Last weekend, Pettis took to the Octagon to fight the last fight of his contract with the organization. On that occasion, the athlete surpassed alex morono with a dominant performance. After the confrontation, 'Showtime' did not signal a possible renewal with the company.

After almost 12 years in the UFC, Pettis will now look for new challenges. At 33 years old, the athlete was already considered one of the main names in the company chaired by Dana White. Anthony, however, went through moments of instability, but, after his commitment last Saturday, the athlete recorded his second consecutive victory, something that had not happened since 2014.

A professional in MMA since 2007, Anthony now has 34 appearances as a professional in MMA. The fighter has 24 triumphs and 10 setbacks.

By announcing Pettis, the PFL once again 'fills' its squad. Still in 2020, the organization hired former Ultimate champion, Fabricio Werdum, who will compete in the company's heavyweight tournament, which awards US$1 million to the winner.
