“He was a coward. He rolled me over and didn't want to fight me and, because of him, I almost didn't fight in December. If he wants to fight, I'm ready. Any day he wants, we'll fight. I want you, boy”, said Pereira, in an interview with 'Combate', shortly after the triumph over Williams.

Before being confirmed as one of the main attractions of UFC Las Vegas 17, Michel had already proposed a challenge to Pettis. According to the Brazilian himself, the American rejected the idea, citing an injury. Anthony, however, also performed last weekend and won the duel against alex morono.

Today, Pereira dreams of getting closer to the top 15 in the welterweight division (up to 77kg.). Anthony, after the triumph that marked the last performance of his current contract with the UFC, remains consolidated in 12th place in the group led by Kamaru Usman. The opportunity to face the North American would serve as a great entry point for the Brazilian into the category.
