“I want the title shot, I want it immediately. You got a guy like Petr yan, who defeated someone (José Aldo) who had not won in the division, in the title fight. José Aldo he has two defeats (in bantamweight) and he (Yan) won, and he is calling himself champion? For me, you are an interim champion. The title has changed hands with each fight. There is no one dominant. It's my belt, so I want to come back with a title fight”, said TJ, in an interview with 'ESPN'.
Although he is focused on regaining the position occupied on two occasions, Dillashaw understands that Ultimate's plan is to promote the clash between Petr and aljamain sterling, which should happen in UFC 256, but ended up being removed from the card due to the champion's problems with his visa to work in the United States. This way, TJ knows that he will have to wait for the decision between the Russian and his compatriot.
"I know that aljamain sterling and Yan will fight, which is deserved. Sterling has been good and dominant. Make this fight soon and I want the winner. I wanted them to fight on the 12th (December), but it ended up being cancelled. Let's see what comes out of there. There’s no joke, I don’t want warm-up fights”, he concluded.

“When you cheat your entire UFC career and you're comfortable for two years with millions you made cheating, I think two things. First, he's in need of money and is ready to take a beating. Second, he found another job in two years,” Sterling teased, before finishing. “Is MMA the only sport where cheaters are rewarded for time served? Imagine going to jail for assault, you pay for the years, you are released and then the prison director gives you a chance to win half a million”, he concluded.
When you cheat your entire .@UFC career, and comfortably sit out for 2 years, with MILLIONS you won from cheating, I think two things!
.@TJDillashaw is:
1) In need of another paycheck and ready to take a sauce-less asskicking for it.
2) He discovered another work around in 2yrs🤷🏾♂️— aljamain sterling (@funkmasterMMA) December 3, 2020
Is MMA the only sport where cheaters get rewarded, after time served?? Seriously wondering about this. Imagine going to jail for an assaulting someone, doing x years, coming out, and the warden hooks you up with a chance to make half a milly+ as soon as you walk out. Wow.
