The current moment of Anderson Silva It's not easy. If the MMA legend celebrated the fact of being free from his contract with the UFC and, consequently, the possibility of remaining active, this does not mean that he has already found a new organization to work for. On the contrary, if before Scott Coker, president of Bellator, had denied any interest in counting on the services of the former middleweight champion (83,9kg), this time it was Ray Sefo, president of the PFL (Professional Fighters League), who closed the doors of his company.

In an interview with the North American website Fight Sports, Sefo praised 'Spider' and what he represents for the sport, but remembered that he is old and that the right thing to do would be to retire. Furthermore, Sefo, who is a former MMA fighter, prefers to remember the great performances that the Brazilian presented and not the last ones.

"Anderson Silva He's a sports legend, but he's not 45 years old? He has incredible talent, was a great champion and will definitely go down in history as one of the best. I have a lot of respect for him, but I think it's time for him to retire. I watched his last fight against Hall, a former teammate of mine, who knocked him out. Anderson is a legend and I would like to remember him as one of the best in history,” said Sefo.

The last performance of Anderson Silva in the UFC happened in October 2020, when he was knocked out by Uriah Hall in the fourth round. This was the third consecutive defeat for the former middleweight champion, who only won once in the last nine fights he fought for the organization.
