the fight against Uriah Hall was the last of Anderson Silva by the UFC, who managed to be released by the organization, but one of the possible destinations closed its doors. This is Bellator. After the 253rd edition, this Thursday (19), in the USA, Scott Coker, president of the company, was not interested in counting on the services of the MMA legend.
At the post-show press conference, Coker praised the former UFC middleweight champion (83,9kg), but explained that Bellator is undergoing a revamp in its hiring process, as his company is leaving aside veterans to bet on promising sports players.

“I have a lot of respect for Anderson. He is one of my favorite fighters, one of the greatest in the history of the sport and I take my hat off to the career he had. If he wants to fight, I'll root for Anderson, but I'm happy with my fighters and the direction Bellator is taking. That’s my focus,” Coker said.
It's worth remembering that, in just one week, Scott Coker said 'no' to two big names in national MMA. In addition to Anderson Silva, Fabricio Werdum was also dropped by Bellator and later signed by the PFL (Professional Fighters League).
