Dana White confirms Jéssica Bate-Estaca as Valentina Shevchenko's next opponent

After beating Jennifer Maia in the co-main fight of UFC 255, the Kyrgyzstani will have another Brazilian for her next challenge

The dominant victory of Valentina Shevchenko about Jennifer maia No. UFC 255, held this Saturday (21), in Las Vegas (USA) once again raised doubts in the world of MMA: 'who can beat the champion?'. Even without knowing the answer, the company's president, Dana White, already knows who will share the Octagon against the flyweight leader (up to 56,7kg). In a press conference after the show, the 'boss' chose Jessica Stacker as a future challenger for the belt.

“I think (Jéssica) Andrade against Shevchenko is a really fun fight. I like this fight because Shevchenko is in a place where she needs an opponent that people believe can beat her. We all know Andrade can,” she said.

Former strawweight champion (up to 52,1kg), Jéssica debuted in the flyweight division in October this year. At her debut, the woman from Paraná was not aware of Katlyn chookagian and knocked out the American in the first round. With the result, Bate-Estaca took first place in the category ranking, behind only Valentina.

After his last performance, Andrade did not hide his desire to fight for a new UFC belt and made himself available to face the winner of the co-main fight of the UFC. UFC 255.

If confirmed as the new challenger, the Brazilian will have the chance to join the list of athletes who have won belts in different divisions. So far, only Amanda nunes achieved the feat in Ultimate, leading the bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.) and featherweight (up to 65,7kg.).
