I couldn't even sweat. In the main fight of UFC 255, held this Saturday (21), in Las Vegas (USA), Deiveson Figueiredo proved that he reached the highest point in flyweight (up to 56,7kg.). In his first title defense, the Brazilian needed less than two minutes to prove his superiority over Alex Perez and won with a submission.

With the result, Figueiredo, in addition to maintaining the title, extended his undefeated streak to five positive results. In 21 appearances, the Brazilian suffered only one defeat, when he was beaten by Jussier formiga, in March last year.

While the man from Pará has reason to smile, Perez, who agreed to replace cody garbrandt, a streak of three consecutive victories ended. In his last engagement, the North American defeated Formiga, the only executioner of the 'God of War'.

After the triumph, the champion challenged Brandon Moreno, who beat Brando Royval in the last fight on the preliminary card. The champion's idea is to fight next month.

“Dana, make it happen,” said the Brazilian, in an interview after the match.

The fight

The confrontation began with Perez launching a shot, which went empty. The Brazilian observed his opponent's movement and took the shot from the waistline. Deiveson repeated the attack and continued trying to surround his opponent. Alex surprised the man from Pará with two kicks and then looked for the champion's legs to try for a takedown. Deiveson was taken down, but fell with a guillotine almost in place. Perez tried to free himself, but the Brazilian forced himself and managed to force his opponent to give up.
