Arena do Grêmio could host the biggest UFC in history

The city of Porto Alegre could be the stage, in 2013, for the biggest event in UFC history. According to Carlos Eduardo Paes Barreto, director of the new Grêmio Stadium, Ultimate's directors have already approached the club from Rio Grande do Sul to negotiate the holding of a fight program there.

“We received proposals from the UFC. We held some meetings to discuss this issue. At the appropriate time, we will provide more details on the subject”, commented Carlos Eduardo.

Little do you know that for the next 20 years, Grêmio earns absolutely nothing for the stadium.

My God, go to hospital… find out about the contract before writing nonsense on the internet!… Grêmio has not gained anything from the Arena for 20 years; There has never been greater nonsense than this...

I think you didn't see it lol
            5.1 – box office results of all events held;
            5.2 – 100% of income from championship and friendly matches;
            5.3 – 100% of the income from games that Grêmio is entitled to in its opponents’ stadiums, and other income described below;
(Clause Three – items 3.4, 3.9 and 3.9.1 of the contract)
            6. Grêmio is obliged to only use the Arena for all its
championship games, tournaments and friendlies, due to the fact that the income belongs to
            OAS.
(Clause Three – items 3.5 and 3.5.1 of the contract)

How much nonsense are you talking about, does GREMIO receive a percentage of profits? I don't think you know what that is. And there's another thing: OAS's contract with GREMIO IS PUBLIC, Now REMENDÃO's is secret, no one knows what is written...

        • Maria Lucia said:

My friend, the company OAS is entitled to only 30% of revenue for 20 years. It will be good for everyone.

        • Paulo said:

Grêmio takes 40% and OAS 60% if you inform yourself correctly.

        • Pedro said:

I guess my dear, 35% of the profits belong to Grêmio and 65% to OAS, or vice versa, I don't remember.

    • Young said:

Congratulations Gremio. The sale of the boxes alone pays for the investment.

This event is great and the Gremio arena is barely over!
This is Brazil and anything is already a party, that's why we have a lot of thieving politicians.

    • Jeferson said:

Newton, 70% of the profits belong to Grêmio and 30% to OAS, this is public and well-known. Now, in the new patch, does anyone know how much will be left for the former owner and how much will go to Andrade Gutierrez?

There's nothing like making an educated guess without knowing the facts, just to try to narrow down the facts.

As my master PAULO COUTO, mathematics professor, would say. Now let's learn a little rule of ARITHIMETIC: PERCENTAGE or PERCENTAGE. 65% for GRÊMIO and 35% for OAS. Who is the real MAJORITY owner?

    • Deigo Reis said:

Dude, don't you know how to read, read the newspaper, see what a contract says or are you pretending to be blind?

65% of all profits from the event that takes place at the Arena belong to Grêmio.

    • Such said:

so much envy, don't make it so that your team's patch contract is exactly the same….20 years paying a percentage….am I lying?

    • Rafael said:

      Get informed before speaking.
65% of the revenue comes from Grêmio, the other 35% comes from OAS.
Your team, even with public money, will not reach the feet of this stadium.
      Quite repressed.

    • dodi said:

how much envy, what a pain in the neck huh….
And how is the AG patch going? 330 million for that gambiarra, in 20 years it will just be written off… hahaha

    • Charles said:

“We all know” comma….only you still think like that because you are uninformed!!! A little reading is good, and prevents us from talking nonsense!!

    • cleber said:

Okay, and who is the owner??? inter, Mazembe??

There are people who don't know the meaning of partnership, even though they keep a smaller part of the profit from the event, this is already much more than what we had in the Olympics, not to mention that even with the partnership the association will make a profit in all the games, something that in the olimpico only had it when the stadium was full... and apart from the heritage of a R$ 600 million stadium that in 20 years will be entirely owned by the club... without a team partnership, no one in Brazil will build a stadium like that

    • Eu said:

In the case of the chorolado, the big winner will be Andrade Gutierrez, then. The partnership was made along the same lines as Arena, o/t/á/r/i/o.

    • July said:

A lie told several times seems true, the Grezembistas insist that the stadium is theirs, but they will only play there when the OAS has nothing to bring more money into its coffers.

Seriously, the stadium belongs to OAS, the construction company that will rent it to Grêmio for 20 years and the collection from events at the stadium will all be from OAS, congratulations on the beautiful stadium as well as the city of Porto Alegre which has two First World Stadiums of the greatness of RS

  6. purple gremista said:

It was already Saturday at the inauguration of the arena, what a shame about that lol

  7. Augusto said:

Newton is extremely uninformed or malicious, I haven't come to a conclusion yet. During the next 20 years, 100% of the Arena's revenue will come from Grêmio. After this period, 65% of Grêmio; 35% of OAS. As simple as that, any literate person, capable of reading newspapers, contracts and the like, can discern it.

  8. Muller said:

Elbow pain must be really bad... I can't watch news about Grêmio without someone UNHAPPY making a bad guess... but on the other hand I understand, those who didn't have a team to support and life was just drying up Grêmio... get out OLHO GORDO

  9. VAISFILD said:

For those who are a little out of the loop, Grêmio takes 65% of everything raised at the Arena. China business.

  10. VAISFILD said:

For those who are out of the loop, Grêmio receives 65% of everything raised from the Arena. Now that's an enterprise.

  11. tricolor immortal carlos said:

Just the fact that the words “Arena do Grêmio” and “biggest UFC in history” are in the same sentence already brings profit to Grêmio.

The money that will be paid is a mere consequence.

Dude, it's going to bother you man, you forgot that Inter had a loan request denied by Banrisul to do the repairs, and your construction company was dropping out, so they made a contract practically donating the stadium just to say that they're doing something at the stadium, jealous of the guild, let's see the situation of the arena in 20 years and that of the mendão in 20 years, it will make you sick...

  15. Diego said:

Bah, what a beauty. Who knows, maybe we'll celebrate a title in our stadium. Even if it's Junior Cigano or Spyder.

  16. Diego Reis said:

The guys don't know how to read, read the newspaper, see what a contract says or they pretend to be blind.

65% of all profits from the event that takes place at the Arena belong to Grêmio. And it comes in color here to mean the opposite.

    • Orestes said:

which newspaper? Zero Hora, from the RBS group, which includes MAIJOMA, which helped build the arena? You're a fool who believes that! The smart guy, if the arena belongs to Grêmio, why does he have to pay for the members to enter??? The president himself, in an interview with the radio that you believe (Gaúcha) in June, said that the arena does not belong to the guild! and the 65% you talk about concerns football matches (ticket office). other events all the income comes from OAS… the lack of titles must have affected you….

On the big screens? I prefer to watch at home!

For those who went to the Arena, which is my case, you know what it's like to watch an event from both the lower and the upper… sorry friend, but it's a stadium where you can't see properly! Oh! I've been to a few Gre-nais and I know what I'm saying….

GREMIO and UFC. World-renowned entities, and united for the greatest fight spectacle, in the most MODERN and BEAUTIFUL stadium in Brazil. And make him jealous of the colorful ones on duty. I even envy the contract that Grêmio made with OAS. They learned what the world of football is like from 2006 to 2010, and they think they can say something about Grêmio. They're really pathetic...

    • Other said:

and the UFC itself will have to ask OAS…
Words from Fábio Koff – President of Grêmio: “The Arena is not and will not be Grêmio’s. It belongs to OAS, Grêmio will have no other assets. NOT 1 METER. Grêmio will have to pay for its members to enter the games, everything around it is OAS property, Grêmio will have to ask for permission to train”.

Thank you for posting the message.

Due to the delay in yesterday's publication, I thought it was a Grêmio member mediating the publications.

Congratulations on your impartiality… here in the South it’s like that: extreme rivalry!!

    • Joca said:

wake up avalanche boy. In 2006, Inter were already three-time Brazilian champions, something that Gremio (which closed in 2001) is still not today... but congratulations, you are renting a beautiful stadium.

known worldwide.. kkkkkkkkk..hauahauah… potato plantation?? this is very good.....

  25. Red Spot said:

Oops, the Gremistas didn't read the contract. The group has rights to the arena (65% of tickets) only in games in which it plays. Other events are solely and exclusively from OAS……

  26. Ibirabali said:

    When will the Arena open?
Not because that was just for political reasons!
The stadium wasn't ready and they opened it anyway, did you see the news in the German newspapers? lack of water, electricity and grass that looked like a potato field! Is this the image that the club is conveying to the rest of the world?
Why didn't RBS write an article about the problems? Did they do a masterful job but forgot the details?

  27. Leo said:

ARENA’s profits are divided as follows:
65% = Grêmio + 7 million annually (bonus paid by OAS)
    35% = OAS

    EX:
Projected profit for the first year: 120 million

    Grêmio: 78 million + 7 million (OAS bonus) = 85 million
    OAS: 42 million

Realize that it's a great deal for both of you. Because Grêmio leaves a financially deficient stadium (Olímpico) and goes to a very profitable one. And OAS recovers its investment (600 million) over the 20 years of the contract, in addition to receiving from Grêmio the Olympic area valued at 50 million.

Gentlemen, what matters is that we will have two great
stadiums at our disposal with all the comfort we deserve, GREMISTAS OR COLORADOS, we really have
is that we change our behavior, because otherwise we will have
to rent stadiums on the outskirts for professionals to play
matches, since the fans(some elements unable to behave in public) continue with these
demonstrations of war that lead nowhere. Let's hope,
demand, and sing our team songs.

I'm an old Grêmio fan – 63 years old. I feel injured as a Grêmio member by this “Arena do Gremio”, which is not Grêmio’s. Dr. Helio Dourado warned of this deception 5 or 6 years ago. Some Grêmio fans fell for him. Now look: We no longer have a stadium. The guild pays 20 million a year to OS, for members to watch the games; Olimpico was valued at, believe me, only 50 million. We owe 800 million. Grêmio doesn't run anything in the "Arena do Gremio", and certainly many other scams that only time will clarify. What a wonderful deal. With the delivery of the Olimpico, they destroyed the soul and pride of the true Grêmio fans. These Grêmio fans who only know how to applaud Paulo Odone & Cia's desires for greatness are doing Grêmio harm. But now it's too late. I think we're going to become a teammate. I am very disappointed with all of this. It's regrettable. Hugs from a Grêmio fan.
