MMA is a box of surprises. When it was imagined that the heavy rivalry between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier had become less harsh, with the duo exchanging some compliments, a spark was enough to rekindle the existing hatred. Upon learning that 'DC' excluded him from the competition to be the best fighter in the history of MMA, because of doping, 'Bones' didn't like the opinion given by his opponent and took a stand.
On his social networks, the former UFC light heavyweight (93kg) champion not only continued to defend his number one status, but also believes that this attack is a way for many to escape reality. Furthermore, Jones recalled that Cormier cannot talk about it, after what happened in his last appearance.

“With USADA, you are guilty until proven guilty unless you are the best. When you win for so long, you continue to be accused. This helps people sleep at night. People will remember that I was accused of using steroids and they will also remember that I was cleared and was able to continue my career #Facts. Cormier, you lost your last fight, gave up and retired. Talk about being eliminated from the conversation,” Jones posted on Twitter.
It's no surprise to see Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier publicly disagreeing. Despite their high level and the importance they have for the sport, both were involved in regrettable scenes and made controversial statements before and after fighting twice.
In the first fight, held in 2015, Jones defeated Cormier by unanimous decision from the judges. In the second meeting, which took place in 2017, the knockout achieved by 'Bones' was turned into a fight without result, as he failed the anti-doping test after testing positive for the use of the substance turinabol.
With USADA you are guilty until you prove innocent unless you are the goat. When you've been winning this damn long, you remain guilty, it helps people sleep at night
