After the confrontation, already on the stretcher to be treated, Paul, who was virtually retired and participated in the last events as a commentator, joked about the situation and analyzed the confrontation against RDA. Felder, who was number seven in the lightweight rankings (up to 70,3kg), analyzed the duel during the suture (see below).

“He was tying me up, and they were telling me to get out of there. ‘I’m trying, but this nervous little guy is holding me here”, he joked. “And there were also some moments, when they said to let me go, I thought like, ‘No, I’m safer here. If I separate, he will punch me in the face again, c***”, said Paul, in an excerpt translated by ‘Combate’.

Even with the defeat by the judges' split decision, the fight against Dos Anjos ended up being useful for the North American. The athlete, who was certain that he would no longer present himself as a professional, ended up rediscovering his love for the sport and assured that he will continue to be active. Paul, however, admitted that he needs to improve on some points.

“I have to add a lot of elements, and wrestling is number one, because there is a different conditioning in wrestling than in the rest. And when you start wrestling, conditioning is affected for the rest of the fight. If someone grabs you a lot, you start to feel it in your striking”, he concluded.
