Ultimate is close to making an important fight official and promises strong emotions. The company negotiates the duel between Thiago Marreta e Aleksandar rakic, valid for light heavyweight (93kg), for March 2021. The location remains undefined. The information was released by ESPN American.

If the meeting is made official, Marreta, 36 years old, will seek to recover from the tough defeat suffered by Glover Teixeira, when he was submitted in the third round. Currently, the Brazilian is in the top-5 of the light heavyweight division and was the only athlete who won Jon Jones for one of the three judges, in a fight valid for the belt.
On the other hand, 28-year-old Rakic is motivated after achieving the biggest victory of his career. In his last appearance, the Austrian dominated Anthony Smith and the triumph took him to fourth position in the category ranking. The athlete competed in six fights for the UFC and won five times, highlighting the knockouts of Jimi Manuwa and Devin Clark, both in the first round, and for the punishment applied to Justin Ledet.
There is still not much information about the event, but, in the coming days, the UFC should announce more fights for the 2021 attractions.
