Exclusively to SUPER FIGHTS, former strawweight champion talks about the episode, but guarantees that the problem has been resolved; Paraná, however, does not rule out a bantamweight title clash

One of the biggest names in the history of Brazilian women's MMA, Jessica Andrade, 'Bate-Estaca' revealed a disagreement he had with the legendary Amanda nunes in 2018, when she faced, and beat, her compatriot's friend, Tecia torres. In an exclusive interview with the SUPER LUTAS YouTube channel, the woman from Paraná spoke about the episode and, although she guarantees that the problem with the 'Leoa' is resolved, she would not rule out a clash, if a duel were offered for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 .XNUMXkg.).

“I fought against Tecia torres, who is a very good friend of her and Nina (Ansaroff, Nunes' wife), and, on the day of the fight, Amanda was really rooting for Tecia. That really upset me, I thought she was my friend. But, of course, between you having just met me and rooting for a person you've known for years, you're going to root for someone you've known for years. (…) We ended up having a disagreement and I even said that there was no problem, Nina was in my category and I took it out on Nina later (laughs). It was very funny, but it passed. It was kind of silly in my head to think that she would root for me and not her friend. I’m super happy to see her family the way it is, her life,” said Jéssica.

Although she understands that the episode takes place in both of their lives, Bate-Estaca, when asked if she would agree to a Brazilian confrontation against the bantamweight champion, did not hesitate. Even though she shows a lot of respect to her compatriot, Jéssica states that she would not deny a title fight against Amanda.

“Of course, when it comes to professional matters, everyone wants to have an opportunity to fight for the belt and achieve the feats that their opponent has achieved. (…) If the UFC gives me this opportunity to fight for the belt against them, I would definitely accept it. I've fought for many years at 61kg. and, if I have the opportunity to fight again, it would be cool”, he concluded.
