Excited about yet another victory at Bellator, Patrício Pitbull says: 'I'm the best featherweight in the world'

Despite being known as the largest MMA organization in the world, the saying that the UFC brings together the best fighters in the sport is not that fair. At Bellator, Patrick Pitbull not only continues to reign in the featherweight division (65,8kg), but also, increasingly, consolidates itself as the biggest name in the company's history. At Bellator 252, an event held this Thursday in the USA, the Brazilian knocked out Pedro Carvalho in the first round and exuded confidence.

In the press conference held after the show, Pitbull has no doubt about his value, he stated that he is the best featherweight in the world and cited his numbers to justify his statement.

“I'm not the best featherweight in Bellator, but in the world! No feather has the power I have in my hands. Today, I have 11 submissions and 10 knockouts. It’s almost impossible to see a featherweight with these records I have”, highlighted Patrício.

The numbers of Patrick Pitbull in MMA are, in fact, impressive. The Brazilian is the organization's featherweight and lightweight (70,3kg) champion, he has been with it since 2010 and his recent triumph made him the fighter with the most victories in the company's history, with 19. Patrício has so much history in Bellator, that he thinks about go down to bantamweight (61,2kg) to win the third belt. It is worth remembering that the fighter has already challenged Alexander Volkanovsky, number one featherweight in the UFC, and trains with Henry Cejudo, former double champion of the rival organization.
