The fight

If trash talk comes in Patrick Pitbull e Pedro Carvalho It was heavy, the fight wasn't. On the contrary, it only took a little over two minutes for the Brazilian to confirm his favoritism and show his superiority. There were two knockdowns applied, which shows surgical precision.

In addition to his calibrated right hand, Pitbull also hurt the Portuguese with low kicks, but the final combination was even more striking. The featherweight champion landed a left cross on his rival, who felt his power, and, as he fell, he still received a straight right.

Sambo wins in battle against wrestling

It is true that, for most of the 15 minutes, the Ukrainian was superior. In the first round, Amasov, knowing the American's strategy, was only concerned with defending the takedowns and thus frustrating him. The strategy worked. As much as he has an enviable history in wrestling, MMA is different and Storley realized that he will need to better adapt his strengths to the new sport. Amasov was not taken down and even managed to surprise by taking down the American.

In the second round, Storley continued to try takedowns and Amasov also continued to defend himself well and prevail on his feet. The athletes' effort was so great that they both got tired and the third round was different because of that. In a single moment of distraction, the Ukrainian saw the North American managed to grab his back and suffered for a few minutes, but managed to survive the rear naked choke.

After 15 minutes of war, Amosov got the better of the judges' split decision, won his 25th MMA fight and puts himself close to fighting for the welterweight belt against the champion, Douglas lima.

Sanchez delivers a beating in revenge and also advances in the GP

If in the first fight, held in 2016, between Emmanuel sanchez e Daniel weichel the second won in a split decision from the judges, four years later, the result was very different. Even behind in retrospect, Sanchez was not afraid, he took the initiative in the duel and massacred his opponent to also advance in the featherweight Grand Prix.

In the first round, the North American was surprised when he was taken down early on, but he got up and began to show superiority. The low kicks were already hurting Weichel, but nothing like the blows to the waistline. In the second round, Sanchez noticed the German's weakness in the region and focused on throwing his blows there. When hit, Weichel reacted by grimacing, he felt so much pain. Unable to hide his suffering, the fighter was brave and chose to let Sanchez punch his face to protect his weakest point. Basically, Weichel fought not to win but to survive and, miraculously, he succeeded.

In the remaining rounds, 'El Matador' slowed down, didn't expose himself, managed the result and continued to be superior. At the end of 25 minutes, Sanchez got the better of the judges' unanimous decision, won his third fight in a row and already knows that his next opponent in the tournament will be the champion, Patrick Pitbull. It is worth remembering that the last defeat suffered by the North American was, precisely, against the Brazilian.

Pico delivers impressive knockout

When he emerged in MMA, Aaron Pico was seen as one of the biggest promises, due to his high level wrestling and boxing. However, his start in Bellator was difficult and, after the hype, he was surprised, but the American did not despair and, little by little, he is rebuilding his career.

The newest victim was John De Jesus. He was the opponent who fought the longest in Pico's short career in the sport, but he was always one step behind his opponent, getting the worst of it. Pico's superiority was so great that it seemed like he was going to punish his opponent through wrestling and ground attacks, but he found the ideal opportunity to decide the fight in the second round. When De Jesus tried to apply a knee, he was left unprotected and, on the counterattack, he was hit by a right blow that hit him hard.

The impact was so strong that Pico didn't throw his opponent out of the ring because it had a fence. This was Aaron Pico's third consecutive victory, two by knockout and one by submission. The talented 24-year-old fighter has woken up and, training at Jackson-Wink MMA, the tendency is for him to become an elite featherweight soon.

Faraldo wants to leave behind anonymity

MMA fans should keep an eye on Roman Faraldo. In his Bellator debut, the pupil of Jorge masvidal faced Pat Casey and took no notice of his opponent. Bigger and visibly better prepared for the fight, Faraldo showed superior striking from the start. However, he wasn't comfortable, he decided to speed up the pace to get the knockout and was awarded.

In the second round, he realized that his opponent was tired, cornered and landed a beautiful and violent flying knee on Casey, who didn't resist. Roman Faraldo remains undefeated in MMA, has knocked out in the four fights he has competed in and, from what he has shown, he can have a good path in the organization's welterweight division (77,6kg).

Gracie loses another one

If the corner won the fight, Khonry Gracie would hardly be defeated in Bellator, but that doesn't matter in the ring. Even with his father, Royce, and uncle, Renzo, present, the pupil of the traditional family was not able to overcome newcomer Trevor Gudde at the opening of the event.

The fight wasn't pretty and Khonry had a lot of difficulty imposing his jiu-jitsu and dealing with his opponent's size. Tired in the third round, he slowly telegraphed a takedown and fell when he received a meeting knee.

This was Khonry Gracie's fourth fight in MMA, all of which took place at Bellator, and his record is two wins and two losses. Despite having a traditional name, the 23-year-old is a small welterweight for the category and could be cut in case of another defeat.
