Biggest name in the company's history, Patrick Pitbull is looking forward to his fourth defense of the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg.). At Bellator 252, which takes place this Thursday (12), in Uncasville (USA), the native of Rio Grande do Norte will be tested against the young and promising Pedro Carvalho, undefeated in the organization. Analyzing the confrontation, the Brazilian predicts a real battle inside the circular cage.

“I know he’s young and he’s hungry. He is coming. He really wants the title. He is a teammate of Conor McGregor at Straight Blast Gyn (SBG). It's a very well-prepared academy, so I'm waiting for the best possible opponent on the other side, but be prepared to be killed and eliminated from the tournament”, said Pitbull, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

In the duel between Brazil and Portugal, Patrício also spoke about the provocations made by his opponent. The native, however, minimized Pedro's actions, stating that he is part of the game.

“He did what he had to do, he’s selling the fight. He has to sell and promote himself. Portugal and Brazil have a history, but we are brothers and sisters. They are passionate people, especially about MMA,” he said.

Finally, the Brazilian, who also holds the company's lightweight division belt (up to 70,3kg), said he was 100% ready for the confrontation.

“I feel great. I'm well prepared for this fight. It's been a long time since I performed and I'm ready to win this match and win US$1 million (prize paid to the winner of the GP final) in the tournament”, he concluded.

Pitbull has not performed since September last year, when he defended his featherweight title for the third time, beating Juan Archuleta. Carvalho also hasn't fought since the end of last year. The clash between the Brazilian and the Portuguese should have taken place in March, but was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
