Fans of fights and reality shows have plenty of reasons to celebrate. The UFC announced the new season of 'The Ultimate Fighter', which returns to TV after more than two years of hiatus. TUF 29 was confirmed to premiere in March 2021 and will feature bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) and middleweight (up to 83,9kg) athletes.

Although the news shakes up spectators' spirits, the company has not yet confirmed who the coaches will be for the new season.
The last edition of TUF ended in November 2018, and featured Robert whittaker e Kelvin Gastelum, who won the championship in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
TUF champions who won UFC belts
'The Ultimate Fighter' is a great saddle for discovering new talents. In 28 seasons of the reality show, to date, six champions of the program have managed to win UFC belts.
Forrest griffin (TUF 1) tops the list, being the first to achieve this feat, in light heavyweight (up to 93kg.). Rashad evans (TUF 2), Michael Bisping (TUF 3), Matt Serra (TUF 4), Carla esparza (TUF 20) and Robert whittaker (TUF – The Smashes).
Big names revealed by TUF
In addition to the athletes listed above, who won the reality show and won belts, other names had stints on the program and managed to be successful within the UFC. Some even sported or competed for titles.
TJ Dillashaw participated in edition number 14, reached the final, but ended up defeated by John Dodson. The North American, however, recovered and, years later, won the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg).
The 'bad boy' Nate diaz is one of the winners of the program. The North American was the best in TUF 5. Despite never having won a belt in Ultimate, Nate, today, is one of the main names in the company, even though he is not an active fighter within the company.
Thiago Marreta e Paulo borrachinha These are examples of names that didn't do well on the program, but recovered and achieved worldwide fame in their careers in the UFC. The first made history by being one of the three combatants who came closest to winning Jon Jones as champion. The Minas Gerais native, in turn, recently competed for the middleweight belt and remains one of the main Brazilian promises for the category.
