Respected fighters use social media to express their admiration for one of the best athletes of all time; Jon Jones, Israel Adesanya, Alexander Volkanovski, Patrício Pitbull and others make up the list

Next challenger for the women's featherweight belt, Megan anderson was another personality to pay homage to the São Paulo native.

“Exciting to watch the last fight of Anderson Silva in the UFC. He inspired an entire generation of martial artists and I can't wait to see him inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg.), Rafael dos Anjos also thanked Anderson for his services to the sport.

    He was a faker, a bad character, he won even though doping was allowed, forged opponents,,,All of this engineered by Minotauro and the UFC who created false champions (aldo, gypsy, belford, etc.) to enter Brazil, after solidifying themselves they had really fight and this is the result… taking shit after shit
