Rodrigo Damm complains about the judges and says that the manager considered him the winner at UFC 154

The Brazilian Rodrigo Damm had a tough fight against Canadian Antonio “Pato” Carvalho at UFC 154, an event held last Saturday (17), in Montreal. But after three closely contested rounds, Damm was defeated in a split decision by the judges. However, the result generated a lot of revolt on the part of the athlete from Espírito Santo, who believes that he won the duel. Furthermore, he has the support of leaders from the organization itself. Upon leaving the octagon, Rodrigo stated that Joe Silva, responsible for scheduling the Ultimate fights, did not agree with the result determined by the side judges.

“I'm confident that I was fine in the fight. Pato is a tough guy and I was able to show my progress in striking. I'm just upset about the result, but now I have to keep working hard to come back even better. When I left the Octagon, Joe Silva said I had won. And he told me to keep working. That's what I'm going to do”, said Damm, who promises not to lower his head and come back even better for his next fight.

“Many people came to talk to me, to talk about not getting upset, because they thought I was better and that I won. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support, my team, my family, the people from Espírito Santo who cheered for me, and Anderson, who got into the octagon with me and helped me a lot. I’ll come back even stronger”, guaranteed Damm.
