The dominant victory of Robert whittaker about Jared Cannonier last Saturday (24), at UFC 254, stirred the spirits of Paulo borrachinha. Seeking to regain his status as a challenger for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg), the Brazilian wasted no time and challenged the Australian to a confrontation.

In a hurry to recover from the setback suffered in their last match, in September, when they were beaten by the current champion, Israel adesanya, Paulo understands that a clash against the Australian could put him back in the company's spotlight.
The miner's desire, however, may come up against a real possibility. In the press conference after last weekend's show, UFC president Dana White admitted that there is a great possibility that Robert will be selected to face Adesanya, repeating a confrontation that took place at the end of last year, when the Nigerian overcame the then champion , and assumed the position of division leader.
