Known as 'Smile Man', Sam alvey there is still no reason to celebrate in Ultimate. On the ropes, after four consecutive defeats, the North American was unable to win and drew in the confrontation against Da Un Jung, on the preliminary card.

With the result, Alvey is close to being released from the UFC. The athlete has not won a match since June 2018, when he overcame Gian Villante.

Jung, who was undefeated in the company in two appearances, leaves the octagon without a positive result for the first time. The athlete, however, continues without losing in 13 clashes.

Known for its submissions, Miranda maverick surprised in his Ultimate debut. In the confrontation against Liana Jojua, the 23-year-old was superior and achieved a triumph by technical knockout, via medical interruption, in the first round.

At the end of the first stage, Liana ended up getting caught by an elbow, which opened a cut and resulted in profuse bleeding. After the end of the stage, Jojua was evaluated by doctors and prevented from continuing in the confrontation.

The triumph marked Maverick's 8th career victory. The fighter now has 10 commitments in MMA.

Youth won over experience. In the fight that opened the UFC 254, Joel alvarez did not take notice of the veteran Alexander Yakovlev and finished his rival after just three minutes of fighting.

Joel, 27 years old, confirmed the good phase of his career and reached his third consecutive victory in Ultimate. With the organization's gloves on, the Spaniard now has three consecutive victories and only one setback, only losing on his debut.

A professional in MMA since 2004, Yakovlev, 36, ended up having complications in this Saturday's result. Reaching the milestone of 37 commitments in the sport, the Russian suffered his fourth defeat in the last five appearances.
