Carwin over knee injury and won't face Roy Nelson

Fight between heavyweights would mark the duel of TUF 16 coaches

The witch returned to haunt UFC athletes. On Wednesday night (14), UFC president Dana White announced on Twitter that the heavyweight Shane carwin injured his knee and is out of action. He would face Roy Nelson in the duel between the coaches of the 16th season of TUF, the organization's reality show.

"WOW!! Never ends! Carwin blew out his knee. Looking for a new opponent for Roy in the TUF Finale,” White wrote on his microblog account

Carwin had been away from the octagon for a long time. His last fight took place at UFC 131, in June last year, when he was defeated by the Brazilian junior gypsy in the unanimous decision of the judges. The American underwent back surgery in October 2011 and would make his return against Nelson on December 15th.
