Jéssica Bate-Estaca saves the Brazilian night, wins number one and asks for a title fight

Brazilian takes no notice of her rival, guarantees knockout in the first round and challenges Valentina Shevchenko at UFC Ilha da Luta 6

Former strawweight champion (up to 52,1kg.), Jessica Andrade, the 'Bate-Estaca', saved the Brazilian homeland in style. In the penultimate match of UFC Ilha da Luta 6, held this Saturday (17), in Abu Dhabi, the Paraná native surprised Katlyn chookagian and debuted at flyweight (up to 56,7kg.) with a devastating knockout in the first round.

At the event, in addition to making history and becoming the first woman in Ultimate to test herself in three different weight categories, the athlete placed herself in a prominent position in the new division. The invincibility of Claudius Hannibal in Ultimate. Representative of the welterweight division (up to 77kg), the Brazilian suffered his first defeat in the organization in a clash against James Krause. Dominated in the initial rounds, the Brazilian tried to recover in the last, but ended up losing the judges' unanimous decision.

Back in the octagon after more than a year, Cláudio opted for a stand-up fight for the confrontation. The Brazilian, however, ended up being the victim of James' precise counterattacks, who had a safe confrontation against the Tupiniquim. Hannibal debuted in the UFC in 2014 and was on a streak of five positive results.

The clash against Mato Grosso marked Krause's second appearance in 2020. In August, the athlete took on the challenge of facing Trevin giles last minute, at UFC 247, and ended up losing in a contested decision. Now, the North American is back on the path to victory.

Jimmy crute confirmed the good phase of his career in style. In the fight against Modestas Bukaukas, the Australian needed less than three minutes to settle the bill and left the event with a great knockout.

In his second appearance in 2020, Crute achieved his second consecutive victory and now has four victories in five appearances in Ultimate. After the triumph, the Australian jumped over the octagon bars and ran towards the company president, Dana White, asking for one of the 'Performance of the Night' bonuses.

Bukauskas, who made his UFC debut in July, has now suffered his first setback in the company.
