Eddie Alvarez's destiny should really be the UFC. The former Bellator champion, whose contract with the organization ended last month, became a “free agent” after the organization did not exercise the right to automatic renewal, covering any proposal made to the athlete.
Alvarez himself announced his official separation from Bellator and should be announced as a new Ultime athlete in the coming days.
“I’m between my managers and promotions. Bjorn Rebney was gracious enough to give us our release papers right away, before what we were supposed to receive contractually, he gave it to us on Friday. So let’s try to move forward as quickly as possible, for me and for Bellator,” Alvarez told the website Fight Hub TV.
