After losing to Anderson Silva at UFC Rio 3, an event held on the 13th, the North American Stephan bonnar announced his retirement from MMA. This Wednesday (31), the fighter announced his departure from competitions via Facebook.
“Thank you very much to all the UFC fans. All I ever wanted was to bring you some fun... I hope you were entertained. Peace, love and violence”, published Bonnar, who debuted in MMA in 2001.
At 35 years old and with an MMA record of 15 wins and eight losses, Bonnar gained notoriety in the UFC when he reached the final of the first edition of TUF against Forrest griffin. Despite losing the judges' decision, Stephan won the contract with Ultimate, because according to Dana White, president of the UFC, the excellent duel was a major milestone in the organization's success today.
