José Aldo defends belt against Frankie Edgar in February

After being left out of UFC Rio 3 due to a motorcycle crash, José Aldo he already has a new date to defend his featherweight belt. The Brazilian will make the long-awaited fight against the North American Frankie Edgar, former lightweight champion, at UFC 156, an event that takes place on February 2, in Las Vegas, in the United States. The duel will be the main attraction of the traditional show that takes place on the Saturday before the Super Bowl – the final of the NFL, the American football league in the United States.

Featherweight champion, José Aldo will put his title on the line for the fourth time against Edgar, former lightweight champion, who will make his debut in the category, after losing the title against Ben henderson. The fight between Aldo and Edgar was expected for UFC Rio 3, when the North American was called up to replace the injured Erick Koch, however, Aldo suffered a motorcycle accident on the eve of the show and was unable to climb into the octagon.
