STRONG IMAGE: Fighter has a bent arm, but refuses to give up at UFC Ilha da Luta 5

In a fight on the preliminary card, Tony Kelley came close to submitting, but Ali Al Qaisi did not give up and was saved by the bell

An impressive image marked the preliminary card of the UFC Fight Island 5, held this Saturday (10), in Abu Dhabi. In the clash between Tony Kelley and Ali Al Qaisi, the first came very close to a submission and almost broke his rival's arm, but the Jordanian fighter showed a lot of courage, didn't tap, and was saved by the bell (see image below).

The incident happened at the end of the first round. After a very busy confrontation in the first minutes, Kelley managed to dominate his opponent and got into position with just a few seconds remaining to end the round. Qaisi then surprised the spectators by giving a clear display of bravery.

The duel remained eventful in the following rounds. With attacks from both sides, the duel ended up being decided by the judges. After three stages, Kelley was declared the winner in a unanimous decision.

The result marked Ali Al's second consecutive defeat with Ultimate gloves. Representative of the roosters, the fighter continues without winning in the organization.

Tony, in turn, recovered from a setback in his last appointment, which marked his debut with the company.
