UFC 156: Vitor Belfort faces Michael Bisping in Brazil

According to SUPER FIGHTS reported, last Wednesday (24), Ultimate returns to Brazil to hold the UFC 156, January 19th, and the event already has a main attraction. After disputing the light heavyweight belt, Vitor belfort returns to the middleweight division and faces the English Michael Bisping. The information was initially released by the North American website MMA Opinion.

The duel should place the winner second in line in the middleweight belt dispute – the first challenger will emerge from the fight between Tim Boetch and Chris Weidman at UFC 155 – which is in the possession of Anderson Silva 2006 since.

With an MMA record of 21 wins and 10 losses, Belfort resumes his quest for the middleweight belt. After losing his chance for the title, in February 2010, the Phenomenon achieved two consecutive victories until he was invited to move up a category and face Jon Jones for the light heavyweight titles. But, despite his good performance, the Brazilian drops down a category and aims for the Anderson Silva.

In turn, Bisping, who has a professional record of 23 wins and four losses, is going through a great phase in his career. The Brit has won five in his last six fights, the last being over Brian Stann at UFC 152.

UFC 156 marks the first Ultimate event in 2013 and has not yet been decided on, but Fortaleza and São Paulo are the most popular, however, Florianópolis, Curitiba and Porto Alegre are in the running to host the show.

This event could probably be in Fortaleza, as the event center is already operational and has the capacity to receive 30000 people. Furthermore, I think Belfort beats Bisping, in his last fight against Stann they got the better of him, and Vitor is more complete, more technical and skilled than Bisping.
