Anderson's manager again asks for a fight against GSP: “People want to know who is the best in the world”

After a few speculation about a possible fight against Jon Jones, light heavyweight champion, those responsible for managing the career of Anderson Silva they spoke again in a confrontation against Georges St Pierre, owner of the welterweight belt. Ed Soares, one of the Brazilian's managers, praised GSP, saying that the Canadian is the greatest welterweight in history and wants a confrontation between the greatest pound-for-pound athletes in the world.

“At the end of the day, GSP is the greatest welterweight in history. People argue about who is the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Some say it's Anderson, others say it's Georges St-Pierre. So I think the way to solve this is to set a target weight of 80kg, right in the middle, and see what happens. It’s a fight the fans want to see,” he said. “They are the greatest fighters in the history of the UFC”, added Soares, on the program “Inside MMA”.

Before a possible clash against the Brazilian St. Pierre already has another appointment scheduled. He will fight at UFC 154, on November 17th, against the interim champion of his division, Carlos Condit. Due to injuries, the Canadian has been away from the Octagon since April last year, when he won Jake Shields.
