MMA fans will certainly be tuned in to the UFC event on October 31st. On that occasion, the legendary Anderson Silva will face Uriah Hall one that could seal the Brazilian's retirement. “I'm not aware of the negotiations, but for me, speaking as a coach, Anderson still has a lot of wood to burn. Believe. Based on what he has done in training, he still has firewood to burn,” said Rogério, in an interview with 'MMA Fighting'.

For Camões, Silva, who has one more fight under his contract with the UFC, in addition to the challenge against Hall, could fulfill his agreement with Ultimate and make the remaining commitments. The coach also suggested the perfect setting for the show.

“At least one more. Do this and another super fight. Just imagine. A superfight in Rio de Janeiro, when everything goes back to normal. Without a pandemic and him facing a big name or a legend from the past”, said Rogério.

A notable figure in 'Spider's' career, Camões saw his pupil go through the best and worst moments of his career. The coach then reported a specific matchup that he would like to see Anderson perform again.

“I think I saw Anderson face everyone. I think, in the division, the only fight I would like to see again was him and Israel adesanya (current middleweight champion). That fight was fabulous. Three spectacular rounds. Israel had to fight hard. It was one of the most technical fights I've seen in the history of MMA. Two talents. A rematch would be something spectacular,” he explained.

Finally, Camões spoke about Silva's thoughts when it comes to hanging up his gloves. Currently 45 years old, according to the coach, the legend does not suffer from the effects of age and feels well enough to continue performing his work.

“When we talk, he always says: 'Master, I still have firewood to burn. I still want to fight, I feel good'. I think what matters most is how the guy feels, above anyone else determining whether he will stop or not. I think he can fight anywhere in the world, including a boxing challenge, if he wants to”, he concluded.

On October 31st, Anderson will reach the mark of 46 appearances in his professional MMA career. Considered the best middleweight in UFC history, the Brazilian currently has 34 wins, 10 losses and one fight without result.
