Anderson Silva: “Sonnen is unable to beat Jon Jones”

The light heavyweight Jon Jones is the new rival of the controversial Chael Sonnen, who never misses the opportunity to provoke his rival. The fighters will be coaches of the 17th edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show, and will face each other in the fight for the category belt. But if there's anyone who knows Chael's style, it's Anderson Silva, who also suffered from the North American's attacks and beat him on two occasions: by submission at UFC 117, in 2010, and by technical knockout, at UFC 148, last July.

For Anderson, Sonnen's opportunity to fight for the belt is not fair and he even mentions possible challengers who would have more merit for the chance to fight for the light heavyweight belt.

PUBLICITY:

“I think there are other athletes who deserved it”, he comments Anderson Silva, to SporTV. “Chael does his job very well. It sells very well and is a good braggart. But I think he has other athletes who could be competing for that title. Lyoto, Glover, Minotouro and even the Rafael Feijão, which is from Strikeforce. They have all the conditions to face the Jon Jones and even beat him. But the Chael Sonnen achieves things that sometimes we can't. He sells himself well, he’s a guy who knows how to make provocations.”

Spider also made a point of pointing out that the “American Gangster”, as Chael calls himself, has no chance of defeating Jones and winning the light heavyweight title.

PUBLICITY:

“I think for the Jon Jones is an advantage. I don't see the Chael Sonnen beating Jones. There are no conditions whatsoever. O Jon Jones reached a level that few athletes can reach and reach. I don’t see anyone in the UFC who can beat him in his category.”

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
