The UFC Rio 3 preliminary card was marked by the victories of Serginho Moraes e Ron Jason, finalists of the first edition of TUF Brasil. Jason, who won the reality show among featherweights, was not aware of Sam Sicilia and knocked out the North American mercilessly.
