Paulo borrachinha came out on top against Israel adesanya. The long-awaited fight between the rivals will take place at UFC 253, an event that will be held this Saturday (26), in Abu Dhabi, but a controversial issue was resolved. Even before the duel valid for the middleweight belt (83,9kg) was made official, both attacked each other heavily and one of the category champion's accusations was regarding the Brazilian's physical shape.
Notoriously large for middleweights, Borrachinha became known and feared for his aggressive style in the octagon and for being very strong. However, although many fighters and fans are in doubt about the naturalness of their physique, the numbers released by USADA, the agency responsible for anti-doping control, do not lie and put an end to this discussion.

According to the Combate.com report, the middleweight champion, Israel adesanya, was tested 32 times by USADA, while the category challenger, Paulo borrachinha, carried out 47 tests, that is, 15 differences.
In 2017, the Brazilian's first year in the UFC, he had three fights in a span of nine months, knocking out Gareth McLellan, Oluwale Bangbose and John hendricks and was tested eight times.
In 2018, Borrachinha only fought against Uriah Hall, but he was visited by USADA agents 18 times. In the same year, Adesanya arrived in the UFC, had four fights in a span of ten months, defeated Rob Wilkinson, Marvin vettori, Brad Tavares e Derek Brunson and was tested nine times.
In 2019, Borrachinha, amid injuries and surgeries, again only played once, winning Yoel romero and was tested 14 times. In fact, the Brazilian was the athlete who took the most anti-doping tests that year. In turn, Adesanya had three fights in a nine-month span, defeated Anderson Silva, Kelvin Gastelum, Robert whittaker, became middleweight champion and was tested 13 times.
In 2020, for the first time, Adesanya was tested more than Borrachinha. The champion beat Romero in March and carried out 10 tests. On the other hand, the challenger has not yet fought, but has met with USADA agents seven times.
It is worth remembering that fighters who are part of the USADA testing program in partnership with the UFC are obliged to inform the agency of all their steps so that it can send its employees, who aim to maintain anti-doping control.
